One of the best parts of attending this festive event is sampling all of the classic carnival food. When you have devoured your share of fair food, there are plenty of other options to be had around Oklahoma City.

For the most impressive selection of restaurants, you’ll want to explore the trendy Bricktown area. The Bricktown Brewery is a classic pub gathering place, offering a diverse menu and handcrafted beer. Or choose the always fun Fuzzy’s Taco Shop for a quick meal on the go.

For a more premium experience after a day at the fair, be sure to consider Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse for a traditional dining experience. Diners will delight in the vast array of choice cuts of meat along with a bounty of seafood, pasta, and chicken dishes served up with all of the classic steakhouse sides.

While in Oklahoma City, many visitors like to pay their respects to the victims of the 1995 bombing of Oklahoma City’s Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is a moving experience for anyone. Or try the Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge for a great place to get outside and connect with Mother Nature in a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
